  2. These questions are really good. I agree with Russ -- they are what essential questions should be, questions that make you think. (BTW -- can you send me the answer key?) I find it difficult to come up with these kinds of questions -- they either get too abstract and not very useful for students, or they are too specific or lending themselves to a correct answer (maybe challenging them, but still with a findable answer). But these are very good...
